The mission of the Chico High School Foundation (CHSF) is to enhance and enrich student learning opportunities by providing additional financial support for the academic and extracurricular programs at the high school. The CHSF currently manages 26 donor-advised funds. These funds support the art, English, theatre, and technology programs, provide mini-grant support for teachers, and supply students with numerous scholarships.

Grant Programs

Agriculture Department Program Grant

Founded in 2008, the primary purpose of the Fund shall be to support any and all operational needs of the Agricultural Department at Chico High School, including but not limited to providing financial support for students to attend annual FFA Convention.

Centennial Mini-Grant Endowment Program Grant

Set up by Roger Williams in 2004, this fund shall be to provide funding which will permanently enhance and enrich the academic and/or extracurricular experience for students at Chico High School.

To provide financial support for programs, projects and classroom needs of the English Department.

Claudia Williamson Steel Endowment

The primary purpose of the Fund is to provide financial support to encourage and promote knowledge and practical application of the visual arts at Chico High School.

Roger Williams Theatre Endowment exists to purchase items to improve the theater program.



Adam Gausemel Memorial Scholarship to benefit Chico High School

Fund Purpose Scholarship funds for Chico High School graduating seniors who plan on attending Community College or four year schools.

Bertagna Family Endowment to benefit Chico High School

This scholarship has been created to assist graduating agriculture students with financial support to further their education and agriculture endeavors.

Class of 1955 to benefit Chico High School

The fund provides scholarships for Chico High School graduating seniors for higher education and/or trade schools.

Chico High Class of 1961 Scholarship

History Set up by the Class of 1961, this merit-based scholarship is available to seniors who are active and proficient.

Chico High School – Class of 1969

The primary purpose of this fund shall be to offer educational scholarships for current Chico High School students who exemplify the qualities of the Class of 1969.

Cindy Kennedy Memorial Fund

The Cindy Kennedy Memorial Scholarship Fund was started to honor the legacy of Cindy Kennedy, her love of learning, cultural awareness, and humanitarian work.

Donald Hayes Memorial Award

Holly Barnett Memorial Fund to benefit Chico High School

This scholarship fund is given in memory of Holly Day Barnett, 1993 Chico High School graduate and captain of the women’s volleyball team.

Maddux Scholarship Fund to benefit Chico High School

The Maddux Scholarship Fund is to provide scholarships at students at Chico High School within the science department.

Press Powell Memorial Scholarship

This $500 scholarship is awarded to a Chico FFA Chapter senior for the purpose of technical training, college or starting a business.

Thomas Alldredge Memorial Scholarship
